OFFICIAL LEAGUE RULES

  • FIBA RULESET WITH THE BELOW MODIFICATIONS:
  • 22 min run time halves - Can be reduced based on commissioner discretion
  • Stop time in the last 2 mins of the 2nd half if the point differential is 10 points or less
  • Players cannot play without a team jersey (Commissioner's discretion)
  • Sharing jerseys with another player during the game is STRICTLY prohibited
  • 6 personal fouls equate to an ejection (technical fouls do not count as personal fouls)
  • 8th team foul per half is a 2-free-throw penalty
  • All technical fouls are 1 free throw and do not count towards team fouls
  • 2 personal techs is an automatic disqualification
  • 1 live/dead ball timeout per team in the first half. 2 live/dead ball timeouts per team in the second half. 1 live/dead ball timeout per overtime period per team. Timeouts do not carry over.
  • Ball can be advanced in the last 2 mins of play in the second half on a timeout
  • Time out request with no available timeouts is considered one technical foul
  • Overtime is 2 mins with stop time
  • In case of 2nd or more overtimes, there will be a tip-off. First team to score wins. (An exception would be made for cases in the finals, with the commissioner's discretion and time permitted).
  • If a team does not have 5 players by the scheduled game time, the clock will begin to run. By the 15 min mark, the team that has 5+ players will receive a default 30-0 game win if the opposing team with fewer players fails to produce 5 players to play. This rule can be overridden if both teams agree to play shorthanded vs 5 or less players
  • Spectators (fans, parents, kids) are not allowed to sit on the team bench (Commissioner's discretion)
  • Teams are allowed to make substitutions for players due to injury, unavailability, or other reasons. Teams making substitutions must let the commissioner know before the game starts.  The substitute must be within the same skill level of the division. Players who are significantly above the skill level of the division will not be allowed to play. 
  • In order to be eligible for the playoffs, each player, including substitutes, must have attended a minimum of 3 regular season games. The league commissioner will have the final decision on playoff eligibility. 
  • Use of an ineligible player(s) for any game will lead to an automatic disqualification of the game for that team (including playoffs).
